A cat carrier has more uses instead of merely transporting cats. With some slight modifications they actually make wonderful cages for catching recalcitrant little felines who actually don't want to get captured!
Some time ago we came upon a mummy cat who had been abandoned by her owner along with her kittens. The owner had moved house and just left the mum and her little ones. Could a person consider one day with a home, a place to live and also presumably the owner fed them some kind of food. The next day brand new people moving in and not necessarily wanting you now there. It is so inhumane!
Now it's not just you that has to be cared for but you come with four babies to feed and as well now find someplace else in order to live. It's not even simply a matter of relocating next door moreover because want to guess what, these people don't want you either!
Fortunately in this specific event we had been alerted to this all too common issue of stray cats made by human beings. When we went to fetch the mum cat and kittens we realized the kittens had become unsocialised towards people and we couldn't get near them. Interestingly enough you don't fully understand just how swiftly little kittens are able to run. They can certainly run a lot faster than human beings in fact whenever it comes to seizing them.
Consequently we had to formulate a way of catching the kittens. The regular trap was too big for them. Their small weight would not be capable to trigger the footstep in order to close the door on them. Mum was very good and also only too glad to find somebody to help them. Therefore along with some lateral reasoning we basically removed a few bars from the door of the cat carrier. The opening was little enough for mum's babies to get into their mum but not big enough for mum to be able to get out. Naturally when we placed mum inside the cat carrier and closed the door the kittens were now outside. Mum cat straight away called her babies to her and inside they ran, rushing through the opening in the door. Swiftly we covered over the small opening once all of the babies were inside and we had them all! That little family were subsequently rehomed to far more evolved human beings!
So now we had a cat carrier with a small opening cut into the entrance. This did not actually make it useless since we essentially only used it for bigger cats for future needs. Cat carriers are pricey so you don't want to waste them just because there is a small hole cut into it. In fact we eventually wired the door up once more and it was just like brand new. So you find out cat carriers are so important for moving cats however they do have other really important functions.
