Cat Carriers Damaged My Scone

By Dawn Riley

Cat carriers have actually caused me a good deal of discomfort over the years, in more ways than one. Particularly the moving around of cats has been one of the main issues. The cautious approach of trying to place a cat into one, has resulted in a lot of war wounds, mine.

Many cats are okay with this process in general, but it appears as if I have a habit of being acquired by cats which manage to turn themselves into something that translates into something close to trying to fit an enormous, prickly round peg into a small square hole. Anyhow, that's among the more common bodily injuries that can be had when dealing with cat carriers and cats. Even so the latest battle was totally unexpected and definitely went to the top of the list.

Having picked up a friend, we'd thought we would have a look at a new pet product factory situated 50k away. We have a home in the country so venturing out usually means travelling quite a distance. The new store was supposedly the most recent in pet needs and luxuries. Once we arrived and parked out the front, our jaws dropped in amazement, it was extremely large! Nothing beats a good shop especially when that shop is a brand new one so we hurried in to see what treasures lurked within.

The shelving must have been a good ten foot tall and ran in six sections the distance of the warehouse, and each shelf appeared to be jam-packed with fantastic furry related pet needs. My pal has been tossing a variety of toys plus treats into her trolley, prior to heading off to locate a couple of cat baskets, she'd noticed in the brochure.

My friend's cats have really outstanding cat runs, that are much better than any children's child care centre. I really could very contentedly live in them personally. In any case they're most likely the similar size as my little cottage which I have to share with several free-ranging cats and a couple of deranged canines.

So I ventured up the very last part of the store by myself, and found myself in front of a huge wall of cat carriers of all completely different shapes, textures and sizes. Naturally the one which caught my attention had to be the one on the top shelf. It was about five feet over my head. There seemed to be nobody about that I could notice, and not wanting to hike all the way back to the front of the store, I made the decision to try to grab it myself!

There was a large broom leaning up against the wall, which I thought I would employ and dislodge the cat carrier by using it. The idea had been I would hopefully catch it easily on its way down. Perfect in principle naturally, but exactly what really happened was the whole wall of cat carriers dropped upon my head. To add insult to injury, the one that caused probably the most injury to my skull, was in fact the one I wanted. It was a long, painful journey home together with one eye shutting rapidly plus bruising appearing. So it just demonstrates that cat carriers themselves, may be dangerous without a cat being implicated whatsoever! There's a lesson to be learned at this point, however I don't think I actually want to know.
